The series focuses on the surgical staff at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital, in Seattle, Washington. Shonda Lynn Rhimes is the creator of Private Practice, the show chronicled the life of Dr. Addison Montgomery; Inside the Box, a female-centric ensemble drama set in a Washington, D.C. network news bureau; Off the Map, focused on a group of doctors who practice medicine at a remote clinic in the Amazon.
Shonda Lynn Rhimes also is the creator of Scandal with Kerry Washington stars as Olivia Pope. She developed the period drama Gilded Lillys, which was not picked up to series. She is the creator of How to Get Away with Murder and she developed a pilot called The Catch, based on the Kate Atkinson novel. The show got picked up by ABC and premiered Thursday March 24, 2016, at 10 pm. Shonda Lynn Rhimes in May 2007 was named one of Time magazine’s 100 People Who Help Shape The World. The Catch is an American mystery television series starring Mireille Enos and Peter Krause.
It was created by Jennifer Schuur and Helen Gregory, developed by Allan Heinberg, and is executively produced by Shondaland’s Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. Julie Anne Robinson also serves as an executive producer, and directed the pilot episode. The series premiered on March 24, 2016, on ABC. The Catch follows Alice Vaughan (Enos), a private investigator from Los Angeles, California, who is the victim of fraud by her fiancé. She is determined to find him, between working on other cases, before it ruins her career. Peter Krause plays her fiancé, Benjamin Jones, while Sonya Walger, Rose Rollins, Elvy Yost, Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, and Alimi Ballard also co-star.
